I'm not running away...
To this world I'm unimportant
Just because I have nothing to give
So you call this your free country
Tell me why it cost so much to live..
Just because I have nothing to give
So you call this your free country
Tell me why it cost so much to live..
A lone figure slunk through the parked cars on the second story of the building. It was Minqua. She had come through the factory, and her fur was slick and stank of smoke and humans. Her paws left black sooty prints, and she constantly looked back to make sure no one was following her. The large dog was not fond of company, and she made sure she didn't have them.
Minqua had been in constant travel. Every place she came across was crowded, and she had to kill other dogs to get away. But here, it was much less crowded. There were plenty of humans, but she didn't mind them, as long as they kept their distance.
The female was tall, but gaunt. She hadn't eaten properly in days, and her fat reserve was obliterated. She still had her immense strength, but she could feel that sapping away as well. She had growled at a human child to get the ice cream that she had held in her hand. It had filled her, but hadn't given her much energy. She now found herself in a parking lot looking for scraps.
Minqua was a beautiful dog, but others looked upon her with scorn because of her attitude. She was not to be messed with, and hated sappy talk. She would be respected, or you would die. It would take someone immensly special to break through her safety chains, and see the sweet dog underneath. She had buried that girl very deep. She couldn't trust to give her heart to anyone, so she kept it locked up tight.
She now crept through the dark lot alone, her eyes scanning the ground for anything that would supplement her. Her eyes caught something, and slaver started dripping from her maw. With a quick look left and right, she bounded across the drive in two seconds, and tore the McDonalds bag. It was a nasty business, but she was starving. She soon found what she was looking for. A half eaten double meat double cheese burger, a few McNuggets, and a handful of fries. They were gone before Minquas stomach was satisfied, and she frowned. This was the fullest she had felt in a while, but she wanted to feel full. She continued padding through the empty spaces and parked cars, finding nothing but a cup of soda and a few peices of gum. She left the gum, and lapped everything out of the cup. She continued on her way, looking for any sign of company or food.

This world can turn me down but I won't turn away
And I won't duck and run, 'cause I'm not built that way
When everything is gone there's nothing there to fear
This world cannot bring me down no, 'cause I'm already here
And I won't duck and run, 'cause I'm not built that way
When everything is gone there's nothing there to fear
This world cannot bring me down no, 'cause I'm already here
